The Manitoba Food History Project (University of Winnipeg) is researching a comprehensive history of food production, retailing and consumption in Manitoba. We will begin by focusing on three regions: Steinbach, Winnipeg, and the Parklands, asking:

How has food production, retailing and consumption in Manitoba changed over time?

We are reaching out to archivists, librarians and historians in Manitoba to find out what food-related oral histories already exist in libraries, archives and personal collections.
